Driver Observation Reports go High-Tech
The National Driver Accountability Program (NDAP) Inc. is a fleet safety management software company committed to helping the waste industry reduce costly at-fault accidents by utilizing an automated 24/7 safe driving messaging and monitoring service. NDAP relies on voice recognition to capture the emergency message, email and telephone calls for the delivery of the messages and a robust fleet safety web tracking system to respond and listen to the message. Reports are automatically generated and delivered via email as PDF file attachments in order to review safety trends. Such automation helps make NDAP one of the most inexpensive risk prevention solutions on the market today.
NDAP places "We Value Safety" decals with a toll free number on the back of their customers vehicles, encouraging the public to call in information about the vehicle when a mechanical or driver incident is observed. With or without the use of the stickers, the NDAP web tool is excellent to track incidents, drivers and vehicles. Capturing driver history is critical in bringing about the behavioral changes necessary in helping the driver to become safer on the road.
NDAP has integrated this fleet monitoring program with the driver observation program offered by Safe Comm Services. This observation program provides an independent video capture of driver observations which can then be attached to NDAP’s web based incident tracking system, providing users one central repository of critical driver information. The Safe Comm Services driver observation videos and reports will be accessible through NDAP’s web system which can then be used as driver training tools in order to show both acceptable and unacceptable driving behaviors.
NDAP has proven to improve safety numbers dramatically by placing emphasis on driver accountability. “The proof is in the video and Safe Comm Services is the best at recording and narrating what the driver did right, and what they did wrong” says Tim Miller, President of NDAP, Inc. “We really are a great fit in that NDAP helps to identify the unsafe driver while Safe Comm Services provides the poof using the video capture.”
