The WASTE Equipment Technology Association (WASTEC) is the trade association representing companies which design, build, distribute, service and consult with respect to the equipment and technology systems that are used to collect, contain, transport, store, process, recycle, treat and dispose of the world's solid wastes and recyclable materials. We are committed to:

  • promoting the use of technology and innovation in meeting the needs of the waste services industry in a safe and responsible manner and
  • providing WASTEC members with information that will enable them to operate their business more effectively in today's highly competitive environment.

2011 Carts on Parade Calendar

The Women's Council organized a sponsored art competition during WasteExpo 2010 where companies decorated carts for display in the exhibit hall. Now, the 2011 Carts on Parade Calendar celebrating the effort and highlighting many of these carts is available. Companies may add their company logo/message to the calendar. The Global Waste Management Symposium (GWMS) is an event serving the needs of the landfill community within the solid waste and recycling industry.  The Technical Program focuses on the presentation of fundamental and applied research conducted in the solid waste industry. It is scheduled to take place October 3-6, 2010, in San Antonio, Texas.
