Welcome to EIA

The Environmental Industry Associations (EIA) – through its two sub-associations the National Solid Wastes Management Association (NSWMA) and the Waste Equipment Technology Association (WASTEC) – represents companies and individuals who manage solid and medical wastes; manufacture and distribute waste equipment; and provide environmental management, consulting and pollution-prevention-related services.

  • EIA provides these associations administrative, legal, federal affairs, research and public relations resources.
  • EIA also has its own members (public officials and insurance companies).
  • EIA has its own programs and events, such as the annual Hall of Fame Awards, the Women’s Council, the Future Industry Leaders Alliance (FILA), the Drivers of the Year program.
  • EIA also is a primary sponsor of WasteExpo, the industry’s leading trade show and is responsible for the show’s educational sessions.
  • EIA makes a variety of publications and other benefits available to its members.
