Welcome to EIA

The Environmental Industry Associations (EIA) – through its two sub-associations the National Solid Wastes Management Association (NSWMA) and the Waste Equipment Technology Association (WASTEC) – represents companies and individuals who manage solid and medical wastes; manufacture and distribute waste equipment; and provide environmental management, consulting and pollution-prevention-related services.

EIA Women's Council The EIA Women’s Council works for the professional advancement of women through meaningful and useful education, assistance, support, and mentoring.

Future Industry Leaders Alliance

EIA FILA Logo The Future Industry Leaders Alliance promotes the professional leadership and executive advancement of members through education, networking and mentoring.

Chairman's Council

The Chairman's Council provides an opportunity for owners and senior managers at privately held companies to visit various waste facilities, including transfer stations, MRFs and landfills, as well as to share ideas about the industry and socialize.

EIA Hall of Fame Awards

The EIA Hall of Fame recognizes leaders in the waste industry that have been actively engaged in the business for at least 20 years. These individuals have distinguished themselves through significant contributions to the solid waste industry and their community.

All NSWMA and WASTEC members automatically are members of EIA. In addition, public officials and international members may join EIA directly as "Affiliate Members." More info about membership here.
