WASHINGTON, D.C. – After an incredibly successful "Carts on Parade" at WasteExpo 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia, the Environmental Industry Association (EIA) Women's Council is preparing to launch the sequel at WasteExpo 2011 in Dallas, Texas. Carts, which were sponsored by various companies in the waste collection industry, were decorated by their respective employees and/or student groups. The next parade of carts will be on display in the exhibit hall at WasteExpo in Dallas, from May 10-12. The theme chosen by the Women's Council for the 2011 Carts on Parade again will be EIA's 'Environmentalists. Every Day.' educational program that highlights the environmental stewardship of companies in the waste collection industry.
"We were overwhelmed by the number of cart entries and the positive response of the show attendees in Atlanta," stated Peggy Macenas of EIA, making the decision to repeat the program easy for Women's Council members.
"The amount of creativity and thought that went into each of the carts was amazing," stated EIA Women's Council President Kirsti Nelson.
In addition, a 2011 calendar has been created showing all the 2010 Carts on Parade.
