Safety ImageMaking the Waste Industry Safer

NSWMA and WASTEC and their members promote industry safety as a core value. We work to make the trash collection, processing and disposal less dangerous activities by encouraging safety training and the proper maintenance of equipment. NSWMA and WASTEC offer a variety of safety videos, training materials and programs to help employers and employees reduce fatalities, injuries and accidents. Learn more about our safety programs here.

We also work to encourage driver safety around garbage trucks and collectors to create a safer working environment. Learn more about that program here.
